Dam,
Savelugu, Ghana 2007: A series of photos taken in
Northern Ghana during a particularly dry season. The little water

it harbors the troublesome Guinea Worm parasite. This series expores
the grinding daily ritual/struggle to fetch water.

Gourd
Wars: A slide show about my gourd mold project. It
is a collection of close-up explorations of the beautiful patterns made
by molds growing on the surfaces of drying gourds. This is an ongoing
project and ranks among my favorite recent endeavors. It is
another of those places where science and art live together.

Nature
Photographs: This is a set of miscellaneous
nature and animal photographs. Some like the cormorant were taken in
the wild. Others like the turtles were taken in captive situations. A
couple of them (the bee and wasp) are dead. All of them have
connected stories, some of which are told in the Bamboo Turtle Blog.

Rock Nest Monster Eggs: A
collection of images from an exhibit at the National Cryptozoologic
Museum in Raleigh, NC (aka Glance Gallery). They are used to illustrate
the natural history of this apocryphal monster of my creation.
